2026 WORKSHOP DATE
SATURDAY MAY 23 1PM-3PM – GOLD COAST (PARADISE POINT)
Be captivated by the magical intersection of nature, your imagination, and advanced cyanotype printmaking techniques. While exploring the shapes, forms, and textures of leaves and flowers, we go rogue: combining additives onto wet cyanotypes to skew the shapes towards abstract, adding colour using dye powders, salt, and vinegar, creating shadows, and printing onto fabric for magical results. Full creative expression is invited. Immerse and explore your creative edges. This is not a step-by-step workshop; techniques are demonstrated, and then curiosity leads. Cyanotype is an alternative photographic technique making monochrome Prussian blue (white where shielded from UV light) prints. This is a process-focused workshop for creative exploration and self-expression.Simple afternoon tea supplied (GF, vegan catered for).
All materials supplied. You are welcome to bring sentimental foliage or a small piece of fabric (white) to work with. You will take home cyanotypes on paper and fabric.
No artistic ability required, no previous art experience needed. This is a process focussed workshop for creative exploration & self expression. Suits ages 12+
